Skin framework


struts-layout provides easy interface customization. This is achieved by the skin framework which enables to:

  • Associate a skin to an user session.
  • Set the css file to load in each jsp file for a skin. This allows to change colors, borders and fonts.
  • Choose between different implementations of panels, lists and tabbed panels. Developers can create their own implementation of those components. This allows to change the shape of the components (for example it allows to make panels with rounded corners by using images)
  • Specify the images and texts used by struts-layout tags (for example, the image showing a column is sortable in a list).

struts-layout comes with an example application using three different skins, three css files and different component implementations.
